Facing the Storm – A Lesson from Buffalo
I recently heard a speaker share a powerful story about buffalo and cows—and it’s stuck with me ever since.
When a storm rolls in, buffalo do something unique—instead of running away like most animals, they charge directly into it. By doing this, they actually spend less time in the storm than their counterpart, the cow.
Cows, on the other hand, try to outrun the storm, which only keeps them in it longer and makes the struggle worse.
This got me thinking: What storms are we running from in our lives or businesses that are actually making things harder? Sometimes, the stress of avoiding a problem is worse than just tackling it head-on.

As we wrap up the week, I encourage you to think about what storm you need to run toward. Facing challenges head-on might be uncomfortable, but it often leads to faster resolution, less stress, and better outcomes.
Hope this message resonates with you—have a great weekend, and let’s be buffalo!
Best,
